The International Energy Agency (IEA) has said that the USA Shale Oil/Gas production will peak in 2027. The USA Shale plays (fracking wells) were responsible for all the growth in global energy production since "Conventional" Oil/Gas peaked in 2005. Conventional Oil/Gas means it was produced with "Conventional" technology, not that it's a different product. Shale rock is where Oil/Gas gets made.
