Tyranny Of The Majority (Arguments Against Democracy)

A thinking error a lot of people make is binary Black&White simplistic thinking. An opinion maker that sells such stories can be quite convincing. It's important to doubt and try and disprove your position. I do notice that some people inject doubt and nuance into their speech. I notice in myself, that I have more trust in those people.

Simplistic Black&White stories does probably get you more clicks and reactions. People want Candy instead of Vegetables.

I often hear speech about Democracy as if it is holy. Supreme. The only true way.

I think it is important to list the negatives of your plan. And the positives of the alternative. Maybe you can update Democracy to mitigate the negatives.

Democracies don't have continuation. Russia and China can plan 10 or 20 years ahead. They know what to expect. Democracies could have new management and a new plan every 4 or 6 years.

In a Democracy, leaders are motivated to manipulate the public for their votes. Populists, left or right, push the anger button to get support.

Everyone in a Democracy needs to take a position. You can't just mind your own life. 

The majority decides. Does the majority have the collective intelligence? Is the majority moral? Will the majority respect human rights? Why is the will of the majority the best possible plan?

The American Democracy murdered over One Million innocent Iraqis for their Oil. The Israeli colonists, also a Democracy, murders the indigenous population of the land that took them in as refugees. Democracies are also eradicating the Wildlife on this tiny planet for luxury lifestyles. And the Mainstream acts as if we are the Free World, because we have elections.

The problem with Aristocracy, Communism or Dictatorship is that you can't vote out a bad leader. They need to plan for this.

I think mortality comes down to two rules:

All Life Is Sacred

You Will Not Harm

I would have no problem submitting to a Leader that respects these rules.
