Antinatalism Is The Ultimate Ideological Checkmate

Antinatalism is the philosophy that it is immoral to have children. Because not existing is neutral but when you create a human being you might be creating thousands of generations of suffering. 

Person: "Capitalism is great because Communism is bad."

Me: "If Capitalism is the best we can do it's time to call it quits and be antinatalists."

Person: "We need an exponentially growing human population for the economy."

Me: " The planet is finite and space colonization is an impossible fantasy. Humans are in population overshoot and it's time for a controlled collapse of population instead of an involuntary one."

Person: "It's selfish not to have children."

Me: "All the reasons people have children are selfish. From racial or religious competition to not dying alone to the pension system and healthcare."

Person: "Civilization is great because living in nature is horrible."

Me: "Civilization is unsustainable and kills the living planet on which we depend. The best chance life has is a decline in human population."

Person: "We need workers to pay taxes."

Me: "A lot of my jobs were mental torture for toxic bosses and I would rather not have been born than work for the glory of the investors."

Person: "Babies are cute."

Me: "I know someone who used to be a baby and who spent the last 10 years of her life blind, deaf and dementing, begging people to kill her. 

Person: "We need to preserve the light of higher consciousness."

Me: "Smartphones are impressive but we turn forrests into deserts and the legacy of our intelligence will be the death of life itself. We are not that great. "

Person: "You need to make children so they can save the world."

Me: "I mostly cause harm eating and stuff, why would my child be different. If I can't save the world, why would my child be able to. Who says my child will have my beliefs. Not having children is the best you can do for the planet. And my child will probably die in a famine not having saved the world."
