What Is Most Upsetting Is The Dishonesty.

I think I have less of a problem with evil itself than that the culture pretends this evil isn't evil.

The way we have to pretend cars with 500kg batteries are Clean, Green and Zero. The way opinion makers throw around the word "Genocide" willy nilly but then when it really happens and really matters, they have a hard time deciding to use the word. The way some groups are protected like infants and other groups are free game. The way some ideas like limits to growth, overpopulation, extinction are common in the real world but taboo in the media. The way politicians make sure that problems don't get solved, if the solution means less profit the rich.

What is frustrating is the Fakeness, the lack of Authenticity. The world is run by Liars and we have to go along with the pretence. Our culture is a fiction. We are all actors.

Perhaps it's always been this way.
