Barack Obama became president of the USA after he ran a campaign of "hope". The first thing he did as president was save capitalism by bailing out the banks that had crashed the economy in 2008 because they created fraudulent financial products called subprime mortgages. A lot of people in the doomosphere see hope as a delusion that can have harmful effects. Calling it "hopium". I agree in some way. Obama again gave Elon Musk 5 Billion dollars to invest in Tesla. But electric cars are pretty much a scam. There is nothing environmentally friendly about a car, no matter how it is powered. Tesla set back real solutions at least 15 years. Solutions like the walkable town. Also called the 15 minute city. According to professor Simon Michaux we don't have the minerals to create a renewable future without sacrifices.
